Terrorists today opened fire at CRPF camp in Panz Gam village of Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

An official said that jawans retaliated to the firing in same capacity.

The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway. The firing took place around 8 in the evening.

The attack comes days after Pak-based JeM terrorists stormed an Army camp in Sunjwan area in Jammu.

Earlier in the day, Army killed two militants in a gunfight on the LoC in Poonch district, foiling an infiltration bid from Pakistan.

"Alert troops noticed suspicious movements in Balakote area early on Thursday," news agency IANS reported citing military sources.

The Pakistani Army on Wednesday violated the 2003 ceasefire in Nowshera sector of the LoC in Rajouri district.
