Nitish is a coward, must resign on moral grounds: Tejashwi's stinging attack on Bihar CM

Tejashwi, who served as Nitish's deputy in the Mahagathbandhan government, called his former boss a 'coward' while accusing him of shielding people involved in the horrific Muzaffarpur shelter home case.

Launching a frontal attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday demanded his resignation over the deteriorating law and order scenario of the state.

Addressing a press conference at party office in New Delhi, Tejashwi, who served as Nitish's deputy in the Mahagathbandhan government, called his former boss a 'coward' while accusing him of shielding people involved in the horrific Muzaffarpur shelter home case.

"Nitishji must resign on moral grounds as he's unable to run the state. It'll be proved he's the most coward CM who isn't fighting for justice for our daughters, but shielding those who committed crime. He must resign from state Home Ministry as well," Tejashwi Yadav said.

Suggesting that Nitish Kumar was aware about who went missing after being shifted to another protection home, the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly gave a week's time to find her whereabouts failing which his party will launch a mass protest.

This is not for the first time that Tejashwi Yadav has attacked Nitish over the Muzaffarpur case in which 34 minor girls were raped and tortured inside a shelter home which was run by one Brajesh Thakur who boasted of having big poltical contacts.

Nitish Kumar, who has been facing intense heat over the Muzaffarpur case, had last week ordered a CBI probe into it. However, the RJD-led Opposition has been insisting on his resignation.
