The cargo terminal of Delhi Airport was reportedly cordoned off on Wednesday morning after a suspicious material was recovered by the authorities.

Suspecting bomb, the security forces along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad reached the spot immediately.

However, it was later found that the suspicious material was actually spare parts of the Maruti make. Concluding the operation, the bomb squad declared it negative.

On July 20, a suspicious packet was found in the food trolley of an Air India aircraft at Delhi Airport. The Narcotics Control Bureau later confirmed that the substance was morphine and weighed 1,895 grams.

The incident came a day after the Delhi Police had received a phone call on July 19 threatening to blow up the prime minister's residence, Rajiv Chowk metro station and Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, which later turned out to be a hoax.
