Some in NDA don't want Modi as PM again, intentionally spreading rumours to trigger conflict within: Upendra Kushwaha

"In NDA (National Democratic Alliance), there are some people who don't want Modiji to become the Prime Minister again. Such people intentionally spread rumours to trigger conflicts within the NDA," Kushwaha told the media here.

There are some constituents in NDA who do not want to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister again, and intentionally spread rumours to trigger conflicts within, Union Minister of State for HRD Upendra Kushwaha said on Friday.

"In NDA (National Democratic Alliance), there are some people who don't want Modiji to become the Prime Minister again. Such people intentionally spread rumours to trigger conflicts within the NDA," Kushwaha told reporters.

The RLSP chief, who chose not to divulge names, said everything will be known at the appropriate time, but clarified that his party wanted Modi to become the Prime Minister again after the 2019 polls.

Rubbishing certain reports, Kushwaha also asserted that no talks of seat-sharing for Lok Sabha polls have taken place in Bihar so far.

"No talks of seat sharing have taken place in Bihar. In the news reports that I have come across, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi and Ram Vilas Paswan's party (LJP) have also made it clear that the talks are still pending."

In a tweet yesterday, senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, too, rebuffed the news doing rounds about seat-sharing arrangement.

"Neither any decision has been taken within the NDA on seat sharing for 2019, nor there is any controversy. We are aiming at winning all 40 seats and this is the common target of all NDA allies," he said.

Kushwaha, who is the Union minister of state for human resource development in the NDA government, said the reports in media were published without any basis.
