The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has reportedly sought project report status from his ministers ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

According to a report in The Economic Time, the report has been sought to ensure that the announcements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are completed and realised before the nation goes to polls in 2019.

The PMO has asked all ministries and departments to initiate a project-wise stock-taking process beginning October 1, 2018.

The ministries have been asked to submit the status report by flagging them in three colours – green, yellow and red.

A report with red colour would mean that the project was “poorly implemented”, yellow would mean ‘progress noted’, and green will convey that project is ‘on time/good’.
