In the latest ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army, an Indian Army jawan has been martyred and another injured, police said today.

The Army from across the border violated ceasefire along the line of control (LoC) in Kupwara district in Kashmir today.

According to the police, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at Indian positions on the LoC in Karnah sector.

"Gunman Harshit Batoriya was killed and Mankamla injured due to the firing. The injured soldier has been rushed to hospital.

"Two other soldiers were injured yesterday (Friday) in Pakistan ceasefire violation in Keran sector," police said.
