Noida: TV anchor dies after falling off fourth floor of highrise; suicide suspected

As per the reports, a senior anchor and colleague of the deceased was present with her at the time of the incident, who was taken into custody for questioning in the matter.

A television anchor was found dead at her residence in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida Friday morning. The incident was reported from Antriksh Forest society in sector-77 of the area. The anchor, identified as 27-year-old Radhika Kaushik, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of her building at around 3:30 am. 

As per the reports, a senior anchor and colleague of the deceased was present with her at the time of the incident, who was taken into custody for questioning in the matter. 

Rahul Awasthi, who was present at the spot at the time of the incident told the police that Kaushik had received a phone call after which the alleged suicide took place, police said. 

According to the police, some important information was retrieved from the mobile phone of the deceased anchor. 

Meanwhile, the police officials have sent the body for post-mortem.
