Mumbai: Woman passenger claims bomb on Lucknow bound IndiGo flight

The aircraft was immediately taken to an isolated bay for security check at the Mumbai airport.

Security agencies at Mumbai airport went into a tizzy on Saturday morning when a woman passenger claimed that there was a bomb aboard an IndiGo flight going to Lucknow via Delhi. The aircraft was immediately taken to an isolated bay for security check. Later, it was allowed to proceed on its journey after security authorities gave an all clear. 

The woman passenger, who hails from Singapore, also showed photographs of a few people and claimed that they were a 'threat' to the nation.

Thereafter, CISF personnel took her to the airport police station for questioning.

"During the early hours today, one lady passenger travelling to Delhi on Go Air flight G8 329( Ms. Uma Narayan Kannadasan, aged 41 years, Singapore national) approached Indigo check in counter at T1 and informed that there is a bomb in Indigo flight 6E 3612(Sector – Mumbai – Delhi/Luck now, STD 0605)," an official statement by IndiGo said.

"She also presented  photographs of few people and claimed that they are threat to nation and  behind the bomb. CISF took her to Airport police station and questioning is in progress," it added.
