MoS Defence says situation at LAC sensitive, cautions against increased ISIS threat

Cautioning against ISIS threat, the MoS Defence said that India needs to stay alert as the Islamic State is moving eastward.

Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre on Thursday said that the situation on the Line of actual control (LAC) is sensitive as the incidences of patrolling, transgression and standoff have a potential for escalation.

Cautioning against ISIS threat, the MoS Defence said that India needs to stay alert as the Islamic State is moving eastward.

"While confidence-building measures are being enhanced, we shall continue to take all actions as deemed necessary to ensure the sanctity of Line of Actual Control (LAC)," Bhamre said in Delhi today.
