Left Front, which is an alliance of parties like, Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPM], the Communist Party of India (CPI), All India Forward Bloc, the Revolutionary Socialist Party, the Marxist Forward Bloc, the Revolutionary Communist Party of India and the Biplabi Bangla Congress, is facing a wipe out in West Bengal - a state where it has ruled over 30 years - India TV-CNX Exit Poll predicts.

The India TV-CNX Exit poll is giving Left Front a mere 16.10 per cent of vote share, a dip of over 13 per cent from 2014. The data means, Left Front is highly unlikely to open its account in a state which has traditionally been a red bastion.

India TV-CNX Survey predicts over 15 per cent gain in BJP's vote share as the party is making its best ever show in Bengal. BJP is likely to win 12 seats in the state.

The findings of the survey reported here are based on an Exit poll survey conducted where polling was held in seven phases. The survey team visited the randomly selected polling station going deep into by-lanes and meeting people from all walks of life.
