Karnataka's Lokayukta was stabbed inside his office in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Karnataka Lokayukta PV Shetty was on Wednesday stabbed in his office in Bengaluru. The accused has been taken into custody and the police have started the interrogation in the matter.

Later, chief minister Siddaramaiah rushed to Bengaluru's Mallya Hospital to meet the injured Lokayukta.

An eye-witness also confirmed the incident and said that the accused had hit the Lokayukta thrice using a knife.

"One person attempted to murder the judge.He hit him 3 times with his knife.The judge fell on the floor. So you can see what kind of security Siddaramaiah govt has provided us. Situation is very bad", shared an eye-witness.

Meanwhile, Ramalinga Reddy, state's Home Minister assured that PV Shetty is now out of danger. He also informed that the accused is a contractor from Tumakuru and had complained to the Lokayukta about certain tenders.
