Two terrorists were killed in the encounter with security forces in Sopore of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district early morning today.
After receiving the information about two terrorists hiding at a house in Natipora area of Sopore, the Rashtriya Rifles troops along with Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
As the security forces launched the search operation, the terrorists started firing on them triggering a gun-battle.
The latest encounter comes days after the security forces killed Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, successor of slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, in south Kashmir's Tral region.
