Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday invited suggestions from students to curb incidents of paper leak, amid continuous protests in the national capital against recent CBSE paper leaks and subsequent re-examinations.

"I am also facing a problem in the country, it is the problem of paper leak," Javadekar said at the Smart India Hackathon.

Terming it a challenge, Javadekar said, "I am throwing this challenge to the students. After Hackathon also, some people can work and give us suggestions," he said.

The controversy erupted ever since various reports of paper leak emerged, following which the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced a retest of Class X Maths exam and Class XII Economics exam earlier this week.

Protesting the CBSE move, students and Congress youth leaders on Friday held protests in several parts of the national capital, accusing the board of negligence and demanding immediate action against the guilty.

Earlier in the day, scores of students also demonstrated outside the CBSE headquarters, asking for an early resolution to their problems.
