Congress party spokespersons won't take part in TV debates for a month: Randeep Surjewala

After a crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha election 2019, there is turmoil in the Congress party with its president Rahul Gandhi insisting on resignation. Meanwhile, Delhi Congress president Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday urged Gandhi to take back his decision to quit.

Congress party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala on Thursday informed that grand old party’s spokespersons will not take part in TV debates for a month. Randeep Surjewala has also requested the media not to invite the party’s spokespersons.

After a crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha election 2019, there is turmoil in the Congress party with its president Rahul Gandhi insisting on resignation.

Meanwhile, Delhi Congress president Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday urged Gandhi to take back his decision to quit.

The crisis in the Congress showed no signs of easing with Gandhi sticking to his decision to resign as party chief after its Lok Sabha poll debacle.

On Tuesday, Gandhi only met his mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, besides senior party leader K C Venugopal and Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, reported PTI.
