“We are not yet confirmed about the number of causalities on the other side, but approx 15 Pakistani army men have died,” Arun Kumar, ADG BSF said.

Earlier today, Pakistani troops targeted civilian areas and forward security posts along the International Border and Line of Control in Jammu, Kathua, Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

In another incident of heavy shelling, three civilians were injured on Friday in Hiranagar sector on the IB, police said.

Heightened tensions between the two countries have forced many residents of border villages to migrate to safer locations.
