12 year old wonder boy clears class 12 board exam in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Aabhas Sharma, a 12-year-old boy from Jaipur has cleared the higher secondary exam conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), the results of which were announced on Monday evening.

Abhas scored 325 out of 600 marks, scoring 65 percent to get a first division in the class 12th exam.

At the age of 10, he scored 61 percent marks in class 10th and became the talk of the town.

“There was no pressure on me. I used to study at my will and play. I did not study class prep. I started my schooling from class first and I also jumped one or two primary classes,” he told media.

Aabhas also talked about his family and teachers who showed their full support.

He said, “There was full support from my family as well as my teachers. I used to study only one night before the exam. I was hundred percent confident that I will get through.” 

However, Aabhas wants to be a doctor but his father is worried that he cannot appear for the medical entrance exam before he turns 17. 

His father, Sachin Sharma also the director of Aabhas Public Senior Secondary School in Jaipur’s Durgapura area, says “We are not sure how we will come around that issue - maybe we will move court to get permission to sit for the entrance exams. ” 

He added, his son gave all his exams without any pressure and we have always encouraged him. I told him to relax and said that what will happen, it will happen for the good. He studied only overnights.”
