New Delhi: A three-day-cultural initiative titled Shaan-e-Pakistan is all set to showcase some of the top-notch Pakistani designers and brands as well as Indian names having expertise in bridal and high street fashion as well.

The event, starting from September 10, is intended to strengthen relations between India and Pakistan and create further awareness about the fashion prowess of the two neighbours.

It will have the participation of some of the popular designers and brands of both the countries.

The designer line-up from India comprises of Anju Modi, Poonam Bhagat, Raakesh Agarwal, Arshi Jamal, Sadan Pande and Winky Singh-Rashmi Singh along with Pakistani designers like Xeeshan, Asifa and Nabeel, Braahtii by Huma Nassr, Chai, Kaafee aur Siasat, House of Arsalan Iqbal, House of Umar Sayeed, HSY, Mona Imran, Nadia Hussain, Rana Noman, Rema Qureshi, Rungrez, Sahar Atif, Saira Shakira, Zainab Chottani, Sanam Agha, Sana Abbas, Samina Shajani, Zeeshan Bariwala and Amir Baig.

"I love to introduce Pakistani culture in India and I take so much back from India to my home country. I feel so happy and safe in India. It is like my second home. With this initiative I want people to experience the same and I am very glad that Pakistani diplomats have been very supportive of the platform.

"I wish the people of both the countries to share their individualities and improve their relationships by showcasing their craft, talent and ideas if one united platform," said Huma Nassr, curator of Shaan-e-Pakistan.

The event will kick-off with a gala night "Ek Shaam Pakistan ke Naam" where qawwali legend Amjad Sabri will take stage to enthral audience with his baritone in a fusion of India-Pakistan cultural segment.

The event will also have food and flavours of India and Pakistan.

The lifestyle fiesta is supported by the Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi and Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).
