Indian Navy is set to open applications for the recruitment of 172 Chargemen on April 16. The eligible candidates can apply on the Indian Navy website.
The post of Chargeman is classified under ‘Group B’ under pay level 6. The selected candidates will be posted in different naval stations as per the organisational needs. The duties would also require an individual to travel on an Indian Navy vessel and handle explosives and mechanics.
The online applications will start on April 16 at 12:00 pm and will carry on till April 28 11:00 pm. The eligible candidates should be less than 30 years old (government servants may be allowed till 35 depending on government instructions)

Examination Fee:
The examination fee is waived off for SC/ ST/ PwBDs/ Ex-Servicemen & Women. Everyone else has to pay a fee of Rs 205(plus taxes).
Selection Process:
The Navy will review all the applications received. The selected candidates will then be called for a written exam at a later date. The candidates are advised to keep track of the website for this.
