Gujarat: A scuffle erupted between two groups in Gujarat's Surat over celebrations after India Vs Pakistan ASIA Cup match.

The incident happened when two people Vijay and Pappu were celebrating India's victory and were bursting firecrackers. The incident took place near the Syedpura vegetable market.

Vijay and Pappu along with their other friends were celebrating India's victory near the vegetable market and bursting firecrackers. On the other hand, some youths were playing cricket.

The argument started when a youth named Shahrukh Mirza, who was present there, objected to another youth Sumit from bursting firecrackers, after which a fight broke out between both.

Shahrukh informed police that they were bursting firecrackers where children were playing cricket and who could have hurt.

He also alleged that Sumit threatened them with a knife after which he called the police.

Meanwhile, Sumit has alleged that Shahrukh and his friends attacked them with bat and stumps when they were celebrating India's victory.

The cops have detained both Sumit and Shahrukh.

"If the police had not arrived on time, it would have been difficult for us to escape," said Sumit.
