The wrath of COVID-19 doesn't seem to end anytime soon. And even the showbiz industry is also getting affected by the deadly virus. After Bhabhi ji ghar pe hain producer Sanjay Kohli, another TV actor who is famous for playing the lead role in Gudiya Hamari Sab Pe Bhaari has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. As per reports, the actor had undergone the COVID-19 test recently and was diagnosed with the same on Friday.

The reports further suggested that Karam was suffering from common cold and fever and also took a leave from his shooting. However, the actor had mistaken the symptoms for viral but after testing positive he has, reportedly, been under observation and is currently in home quarantine. Talking about the same, a source from the sets of his show stated, “We have been taking all the precautionary measures, right from regular sanitization and fumigation of the sets to running temperature checks for every crew member multiple times a day. However, unfortunately, Karam has tested positive for COVID-19. We wish him a speedy recovery.”

For the unversed, Karam resumed his shooting right after the Maharashtra Government gave the permit to shoot in the non-containment zones in June this year. This happened after a complete lockdown of around three months. While Karam is currently winning hearts and is quite popular with his character as Guddu in Gudiya Hamari Sab Pe Bhaari, he has also appeared in shows like Hamari Saas Leela, Parichay, Mere Angne Mein, Naamkarann, Musakaan and Manmohini.

Apart from that, Rajesh Kumar, who gained popularity for playing Rosesh Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, had also tested COVID positive. This happened when the actor was shooting for his upcoming comedy show, Excuse Me Madam. He is now reportedly asymptomatic and is being treated at home.

Earlier, Kasautii Zindagi Kay lead actor Parth Samthaan had also tested positive for the deadly disease. After the news, the shoot of the show came to a standstill and many of Parth’s co-stars and crew members got themselves tested for the virus. That’s not all, a crew member of producer JD Majethia’s show Bhakharwadi passed away after battling with COVID-19 in July.
