A few weeks back, the entire cast of Neeraj Pandey’s film Aiyaary was on the recently-concluded reality show Bigg Boss 11. They were there to promote their upcoming film.  During the promotion, Sidharth Malhotra did and said something that offended the actress Neetu Chandra, who hails from Bihar and is also a renowned actress in Bhojpuri film industry. Here’s what happened.

In one of the tasks given by host Salman Khan, Sidharth Malhotra had to recite Salman Khan’s popular dialogues in Bhojpuri language. When the task was announced for the actor, he made an offensive expression. After reciting the dialogues, Sidharth Malhotra went on saying, “Latrine wali feel aayi bolte hue but accha laga”

As obvious as it seems, this didn’t go down well with Neetu Chanda, who watched the episode later. She slammed the Aiyaary actor for his distasteful behaviour towards a regional language. Talking to SpotboyE.com about it, she said, “Sid should have conducted himself with dignity. I am appalled and furious. How can he say such a thing in front of distinguished people like Sallu and Manoj and that too on National Television. And Colors aired it! Shame.”

“Premchand and Kabir Das first wrote in Bhojpuri and then translated to Hindi. I am from Bihar and cannot refrain from keeping quiet. Most of the bureaucrats are Bihari and we are proud of it,” she added.

The actress is deeply hurt and offended by Sidharth Malhotra’s impolite behaviour towards Bhojpuri.

On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up for his upcoming film Aiyaary, which is scheduled to release February 9th, 2018. It will be locking horns with Akshay Kumar’s Padman, which was earlier slated to release on January 25, 2018.
