Mumbai, Sep 24: Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton arrived here today on her maiden visit to India, which she described as “spiritual and magical”, and hoped her line of handbags and accessories become a craze in its “incredible” market.

Launching her line this evening, she said her reception in the city was such that “I feel like a princess”. 

Calling India a “spiritual and magical” place, she said she expected her range to become a fashion craze.  During her three-day visit, Paris will be promoting her brand across various locations in Mumbai.  Wearing a pink outfit, she welcomed everyone by saying ‘Namastey India', as she posed for photographers. 

“I feel it is important to create fashion forward products at an affordable price. India is one of the largest and incredible market and I look forward to seeing the country and opening my new shops.”

She said she had been wanting to come to India for quite some time, but could not come due to her busy schedule.

“I am very excited to meet my fans and amazing Bollywood celebrities and business leaders,” she said.  She landed here early morning and was touched by the affection she received.

“The warmth and affection that I received has been very touching. India is a very spiritual and magical place...it is amazing visit..at the airport there were several fans which was more than I expected..I feel like a princess....

Paris also wants to launch her yoga line of clothes here.

“I love yoga and have been doing it for long time...I have been approached for starting yoga line of clothes and would love to do it.” PTI
