New Delhi: Courtesy Hollywood, the year 2016 promises thrilling cinematic experiences. The industry had a great 2015 with Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” having a tremendous opening across the globe.

Seems, Hollywood is geared up for another entertaining year. From action-drama and superhero blockbusters, to quirky comedies, rom-coms and a straight-up simple love story, there will be no dearth of entertainment from hereon so see you at the cinemas.

As the New Year arrives, we list Hollywood movies which will give a stiff competition to our Bollywood flicks.

Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

Opening on 25th March, this movie will pit Batman (Ben Affleck) against Superman (Henry Cavill), for the first time in a movie. Warner Bros. has high expectations from this movie and it is likely that it will do monster business. Zack Snyder who directed the 2013 hit “Man of Steel”, will don the cap once again in this one which has Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot and cameos of characters Flash and Cyborg too.

Captain America Civil War:

Marvel is ready to roll out its biggest movie ever on May 5th, which despite being the sequel to Captain America, is making all the right noises. The deal in this one is that two superheroes have chosen opposite sides which are bound to cause major collateral damage. The biggest attraction of this would be the sarcasm which comes with Robert Downey Jr. who plays Iron Man/Tony Stark. It would be worthy of a watch to see how Steve Rogers/Captain America played by Chris Evans keeps his nerve around him.

When Ryan Reynolds played his career first superhero role in Green Lantern (2011), he was a huge disappointment. He has a chance to change that with this movie slated to hit theatres on February 4th, as he plays a Marvel hero. He plays Special Forces operative Wade Wilson subjected to an experiment to treat his cancer, which gave him awesome abilities and a twisted sense of humor. Based on the trailers, it seems Reynolds' brand of humour works with this character.

It's a Martin Scorsese movie. Do we need to say more? Buzz has it that Martin wanted to make this movie for nearly two decades. Based on Shūsaku Endō's 1966 novel about Portuguese Jesuits who face persecution while on a mission to remote 17th century Japan, Scorsese will direct Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson this time.
