Margot Kidder, who featured in Superman film franchise in 1970s and 1980s, has died at 69. Canadian actress Margot will always be remembered for her character Lois Lane in the Superman Franchise.

Margot passed away on Sunday (local time) at her residence in Livingston, Montana, as per a notice on the website of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home. The cause of Margot's death was not given. But as per Margot's manager Camilla Fluxman Pines the American-Canadian actress died peacefully in her sleep.

Margot featured in around 70 films and TV shows. Few of her popular works include The Great Waldo Pepper, The Amityville Horror, TV series RL Stine's The Haunting Hour. Interestingly, she also won Emmy award for the TV show. 

In 1990, Margot suffered a debilitating car accident which left her in debt. She was confined to a wheelchair for almost two years which made her to face much struggle in life. Later, she also suffered mental illnes.
