Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with Nick Jonas at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in December, 2018. The four-day-long extravaganza saw ultra-famous guests, and brought the palace to make international headlines. The wedding was priced at Rs 3 crore, and alone made up for three months of revenue. Puneet Chatwal, chief executive officer and managing director of Indian Hotels Company Ltd, spoke about the collections at a recently held event.
"Last year, we had Priyanka Chopra’s wedding in Umaid Bhawan Palace and it makes up for the revenue of three months," Chatwal said, at Times Network’s India Economic Conclave.
The Taj Umaid Bhawan palace boasts of 347 rooms that include several banquet halls, ballrooms, indoor swimming pool and a lot more.
According to reports, the couple had spent over USD 461,000 on the venue alone that would have included four-day stays for the wedding party in the palace's rooms and also the cost of hiring the venue for the big day.
At the wedding ceremonies, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas looked no less than regal and royal in their Indian ethnicwear.
Priyanka and Nick, since their wedding, have kept their fan abreast of the happenings in their love life -- from concerts to family functions. They celebrated their first wedding anniversary this year.
