Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is impressed but not surprised with daughter Sara Ali Khan's Kedarnath debut. Saif said that he always knew Sara has that inclination towards acting. When asked whether he was surprised by his daughter's on-screen confidence, his answer was, ''Yes and no''. Elaborating further, Saif told Pinkvilla, ''The thought behind her shot is clear. It’s amazing. Way better than what I was.”

The Sacred Games actor is happy for her little one. He feels Sara was brilliant in her debut and has a fantastic future. ''I’m so happy for her. This was her choice all the way. She chose this and made it happen. And I thought she was brilliant. A thinking actress who is expressive and inventive in every shot. I see a fantastic future for her,'' the actor said. He also expressed his gratitude to people for welcoming Sara and giving her the acceptance.

Sara got good reviews for her performance in Abhishek Kapoor's film. Earlier, the actress also took to Instagram to thank her followers for love and appreciation. Sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the sets, she wrote, ''Thank you everybody for welcoming and appreciating Mukku with so much love. I'm already missing all those beautiful moments in Kedarnath but all it takes is a look in the mirror to catch glimpse of Mukku and to know she will always have an extremely special place in my heart and memory''.

The actress even visited a Mumbai theatre wearing burkha just to know audience reaction. She was accompanied by Kedarnath writer Kanika Dhillon and mother Amrita Singh.

On a related note, Kedarnath, also starring Sushant Singh Rajput is an inter-faith love story set against the backdrop of 2013 devastating Uttarakhand deluge. The movie received mixed response from critics and audience. So far, it has minted Rs 42 crore at the box office.
