Vicky Kaushal has not just managed to impress the critics but has most definitely become the National crush since girls can’t stop drooling over his good looks and charm. The actor who tasted success with Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, just delivered another blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike which is doing good at the box office even in its third week. Vicky already has an interesting line-up of films in the year but recently he revealed that the first ever audition he gave was for Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Vicky Kaushal made his debut with 2010 Masaan but rose to fame with Raazi. Recently, Vicky Kaushal recently appeared on Famously Filmfare and revealed that that the first audition of his life was for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. However, he didn’t make the cut and later Farhan Akhtar was roped in to step into the shoes of Milkha Singh. Watch the video here-

Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike is on a record-breaking spree. Talking about the success of the film, Vicky Kaushal said, "Till the film is released, you don't have an idea if it is going to work. But the kind of reaction we have received is really overwhelming. It's a surreal feeling that audience has accepted our film with open arms. In today's age, it is very difficult for a debutant director to get backing from producers for the story and then get a huge release for his film. Ultimately, when audience appreciates the film then, it's really special thing for the entire team."

Meanwhile on the professional front, Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in Karan Johar's horror-comedy film opposite Bhumi Pednekar. The actor will also play one of the main role in Karan Johar directorial period drama Takht which also features Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. The film is slated to release in 2020.
