Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor's relationship with his half-sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor has evolved in recent time. After the sudden demise of veteran actress Sridevi, Khushi and Janhvi's mother, Arjun stood by their side like a protective brother. Janhvi is now set to debut with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak and he has all support of 'bhaiya' Arjun.

Arjun posted a heart-warming message for Janhvi on the trailer launch of her first film. The post garnered a lot of eyeballs for the brotherly affection and kind words. Arjun wrote, ''Tomorrow you will be part of the audience forever @janhvikapoor cause your trailer comes out... Firstly, sorry I’m not there in mumbai but I’m by your side, don’t worry. I just wanted you to know this profession is amazing if you work hard, be honest, learn to take the accolades with the brickbats, respect opinions, yet follow ur own path & instinct. It’s not gonna be easy but I know your are ready for all the madness that will ensue. All the best for #dhadak! I’m certain my friends @shashankkhaitan & @karanjohar have presented you & @ishaan95 as the modern Romeo & Juliet with elan !!''

In his recent interview with Hindustan Times, Arjun opened up about the bond he shares with Janhvi and Khushi. Arjun said he took this step after consent from his maasi (maternal aunt) as he often seeks her advice on important issues. When asked to explain about his sweet message for Janhvi, he said: ''It’s difficult for me to give a one-off reply, or in a ‘by the way’ manner. I actually need a lot of time to process what has happened. But I just did what I felt impulsively at that point. ''

Did the post delight Boney Kapoor, his father? He answer: ''Honestly, we’re still figuring things out and picking up the pieces. I’m a really emotional person, so my emotions do come out [especially on social media]. So, you can say that my protective side comes around in those moments. I’ll continue to be that way as a brother and as somebody who’s always looking out for their best interest. But I still don’t have answers to a lot of things. Too much has happened and I wouldn’t wish these things even on my worst enemies. I’ve experienced it first-hand, so if I encompass everything in one answer, it would make the matter very small.''

Adding further, he said, ''There are too many emotions to feel. Also, as somebody who has always been extremely close to his father, I want Janhvi and Khushi to be absolutely okay as much as I would want Anshula to be fine. But the things that have led us to these circumstances are extremely tragic; that’s why I need some more time to figure out what life holds.''

On the professional front, Arjun will next be seen in Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Namaste England and Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, both co-starring Parineeti Chopra.
