Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was last seen in a brief role in Fanney Khan, will be next seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun opposite husband Abhishek Bachchan. She will soon start shooting for the same. Earlier, the B-town couple was offered a film by producer Shailesh R Singh. However, there is no news of the project happening anytime soon. In fact, AB Junior has recently revealed that the project isn’t happening.
According to the latest reports that the cop drama has now been offered to Abhishek Bachchan’s Manmaziyaan co-star Taapsee Pannu, who will now step in the shoes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, the Mulk actress is yet to sign the dotted lines and the script narration is left to happen. It is not yet known who will replace Abhishek in the cop drama and star opposite Taapsee Pannu.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu is riding high on success after the critical acclaim of her last offering Mulk. The film was based on the prejudice around Muslim population in India. The film won adulations among the critics across the country. Also, Taapsee Pannu will be seen in Manmarziyaan opposite Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the love story is all set to release on September 14.
