Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon whose last release Luka Chuppi was a huge hit is quite upset over Kartik Aaryan bagging all the credit for the film's success. Kriti in an interview called the trend of praising only the hero as 'unfair'. The actress further added that she is glad that at least a conversation around it has kick-started. Kartik and Kriti's film revolved around live-in relationships in small towns.

“This business of overlooking the leading lady has been going on for a while and it’s so unfair. I am glad this conversation is finally happening. It’s logical to talk about only the male protagonist when the leading lady doesn’t have a lot to do, but when they are both carrying a film on their shoulders, the credit should be equally shared. Everybody deserves a mention,'' Kriti told Mumbai Mirror in an interview.

For unversed, Taapsee Pannu and even Arjun Kapoor slammed a website mentioning only male lead's name in laudatory headlines. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Luka Chuppi, which released a month before minted over Rs 90 crores. However, a website while mentioning the box office collection of the flick referred to it as 'Kartik Aaryan's film' and Badla as 'Amitabh Bachchan's film'. This didn't go down well with Taapsee Pannu. She called out the website for ignoring the female lead and wrote, ''मेहनत शायद इन फ़िल्मों की लड़कियों ने भी उतनी ही करी है .... लगता है समय नहीं मिला होगा आपको लिखने का''.

On a related note, Kriti will next be seen in Arjun Patiala and Housefull 4 besides period drama, Panipat. The movie directed by Ashutosh Gowariker also has Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The actress also has a special number in Karan Johar's Kalank.
