In a candid interview, Queen actress Kangana Ranaut has revealed that her earnings have decreased over the past one year owing to varied controversies. The bold and upbeat actress took a dig at filmmaker Karan Johar calling him the “flag bearer of nepotism” and made shocking statements about Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Pancholi on Rajat Sharma’s show Aap Ki Adalat. Now, the actress has come to the forefront to speak about her controversial year. Revealing that her income has slowed down in 2017, the actress also said that she’s not done just yet.

“The offers haven’t slowed but my commercial viability has been affected. The endorsements are fewer, my earnings are down and my plan to open my own production house has had to be pushed. But I have signed three films, have a beautiful house in Manali now and an office on Pali Hill and I’m going to Harvard so don’t write me off just yet”, Kangana was quoted as saying to Mumbai Mirror.

Entering the league of the likes of Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen, banker Chanda Kochhar and more, who delivered speeches at the esteemed university, Kangana says she won’t be dwelling on the cultural diversity and feudal systems that remain in India, instead will be bringing up a newer, positive agenda.

“I will talk about new opportunities in the entertainment business that TV, digital platforms and streaming sites have brought in which I want to experiment with too. I want to point to films like Hindi Medium which merged the lives of disparate social hierarchies in a realistic rather than aspirational portrayal of society”, Kangana Ranaut added.

On a positive note, the Simran actress said, "I don't want my life to become a cautionary tale but an inspiration for young girls and for that I will survive and succeed."

Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which will be directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain. The actress plays the title role of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai in the film, which is slated to release in April 2018.
