It’s wedding season in the tinsel town. December 12 seemed to be the luckiest day to tie the nuptial knot as many popular celebrities got married yesterday. From Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal, star stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma-Ginni Chatrath, Ishaqbaaz fame Additi Gupta-Kabir Chopra to Parul Chauhan-Chirag Thakkar and Raghu Ram-Natalie Di Luccio's marriage, it was a big day for celebs.

Regal wedding for corporate scions Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal dazzles Mumbai

Top Indian and international personalities, film and sports icons, business tycoons, political heavyweights, celebrities and a host of others attended what was described as "a royal wedding" for the scions of two top business conglomerates - Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal - here on Wednesday.

The celebrations started in the afternoon with the traditionally attired groom, Anand, arriving on a mare at the head of a wedding procession (baraat) at the Ambani's towering Antilia residence.

The 27-storied Antilia, said to be one of the most expensive private residences in the world, itself has been decked up like a bride, and the entire stretch from the main road to the building has been decorated since the past few days with multi-hued fresh flowers, colourful lights and festoons to commemorate one of the most anticipated weddings in the country's commercial capital in recent times.

Kapil Sharma, Ginni Chatrath marry in Jalandhar

Star comedian Kapil Sharma married his lady love Ginni Chatrath here at a traditional Punjabi ceremony, which was enlivened by popular singer Gurdas Maan.

Kapil made a late entry at the wedding venue, which was done up in red and gold.

The bride stuck to the traditional for her attire, and accessorised her look with maatha patti, nath and statement earrings and a layered neckpiece.

Kapil sported a green sherwani, with string adding some drama to his look. His triple kalgi on the turban and sword grabbed attention, as did his bearded look.

He shared their first wedding picture himself via Instagram, with an emoticon with folded hands in gratitude for the love and blessings from all over.

The venue had ample security considering Kapil is an established name in the industry and has a huge fan following. Invitations to the wedding itself had a barcode for entry.

Actress Additi Chopra, who rose to fame with popular TV series Qubool Hai and was currently seen in the TV serial Ishqbaaz, tied the nuptial knot with businessman Kabir Chopra, in a hush-hush ceremony on December 12. 

Ahead of their marriage, Additi and Kabir got engaged in a traditional roka ceremony, which was held in October this year. Additi and Kabir’s marriage took place on the same day that Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani married with Anand Piramal in a high-profile wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Interestingly, stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma also got married to his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on the same day in a grand Punjabi wedding.

Additi and Kabir’s wedding ceremony was attended by numbers of their celebrity friends from television industry including Drashti Dhami, Anita Hassanandani, Kritika Kamra, Rahul Sharma and others.

Popular TV actress Parul Chauhan, who rose to fame with TV series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai tied the nuptial knot with long-time boyfriend Chirag Thakkar on December 12. Parul and Chirag’s wedding was attended by their close friends and family members.

Roadies fame Raghu Ram tied the nuptial knot to long-time girlfriend Natalie Di Luccio in a private ceremony in Goa on December 12. Raghu recently announced his engagement with Natalie on the social media platform. The couple got married following the South-Indian ceremony.
