New Delhi: Though, Satyahraha is shown thumbs down by the critics but the flick has proved to be the fifth highest grosser in terms of first weekend collection.

 

The flick by the end of with the first three days of its release has collected over Rs 39 cr following Chennai Express (100.42 cr), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (62.11 cr), Race 2 (51.35 cr) and Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara (40 cr)

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirms, “Satyagraha collected Rs 39.12 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 11.21 cr, Sat 13.08 cr, Sun 14.83 cr. Excellent growth!”

Prakash Jha directed flick has left behind Madras Cafe by a big margin in terms of first three day BO collection.

John Abraham starrer collected over Rs 20.42 cr to 20.67 cr nett in its opening weekend while by the second weekend it had a grand total of Rs 40.71 cr to 41.01 nett.

Says trade Analyst, “MadrasCafe Collected approx Rs 6.90 cr to 7.20 cr nett in Weekend 2. Grand total: approx Rs 40.71 cr to 41.01 nett.”

And what is still exciting audience is Chennai Express which is unstoppable and by the end of fourth weekend the flick has minted Rs 222.26 cr.
