New Delhi: An application for extending actor Sanjay Dutt's leave by 14 days has been sanctioned and now the actor, who is serving 42 month of his jail term for his involvement in 1993 Bombay blast case, will return to Pune's Yerwada Jail on 29th October. Application for extending leave for Dutt, who was granted furlough for two weeks on Oct 1st, was sent to IG of prison for consideration who on medical grounds has given 14 more days of leave.The Deputy inspector general of prison, Rajendra Dhamne, earlier in an interview to a daily news has said, “As per jail manuals, prisoners can extend their furlough for the next 14 days and all prisoners do this. Dutt can extend his leave as per rules and we can't oppose his request.”The furlough is granted for 14 days and can be extended by 14 days. In addition to a furlough, a prisoner can take a 30-day parole in case of family emergencies and the leave can be further extended by 60 days.
