New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, has been granted a parole of 30 days by the state administration.

The actor had reportedly applied for the parole in June this year following the ill-health of his daughter.

According to media reports, it's been two days since Dutt's parole application got sanctioned and the actor is expected to be with his family once all the legal formalities are over.

Reportedly, the 30 day parole granted to Sanjay Dutt is extendable by 60 more days as a result of which the actor is expected to be on parole for three months.

Sanjay Dutt was convicted under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case and in March 2013, he was sentenced to a five year imprisonment by the Supreme Court.

Interestingly, ever since Sanjay's sentence began in May 2013, he has been on parole for 146 days so far and was last granted a 14 day parole in December 2014.
