Salman Khan is all set to don the role of a writer for the sequel to his blockbuster ‘Kick' released last year.
The actor had also penned the script of his film ‘Veer'. This is hardly surprising as his father Salim khan is a renowned screenwriter who has co-written blockbusters like Sholay (1975), Deewar( 1975) Trishul ( 1978).
“No one is aware of the exact storyline, but it's going to be an emotional tale. Salman has cracked the story idea. In fact, he is very kicked about it; and has already discussed it with his close friends. Since he is busy with the shootings of multiple films, he still doesn't want to rush through it,” an insider told Hindustan Times.
Interestingly, Salman was rumoured to have shared the storyline with producer Sajid Nadiawala
“If all goes well, Sajid will direct the sequel based on Salman's story, but there's no timeline to it.” the HT source added
On being contacted, a surprised Nadiawala said, “Yes, it's true that Salman has come up with the story idea, but it's too early to talk about it”.
Salman is not the only actor who is exploring his writing potential. Here are a few others:
Kangana Ranaut: She has done a screenplay-writing course in US; and is believed to have completed her first script.
Ranveer Singh: His story reportedly revolves around an underdog's journey and the equation with the media.
Kunal Kapoor: He has written ideas for 8 to 10 scripts, and two of them are apparently being made into films.
Sanjay Dutt: Apparently, while serving his jail term, the actor is working on a “very emotional script”
