R...Rajkumar movie review: One of the worst masala flicks

Don't mistake this masala entertainer as Prabhu Deva's Wanted which made Salman Khan the action hunk overnight.Film: R...RajkumarDirector: Prabhu DevaCast: Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonu SoodRating: * 1/2Shahid Kapoor isn't Salman Khan here and Prabhu

Manik Parmar (Ashish Vidyarthi) another drug dealer, who was once thirsty of Shivraj's blood, so effortlessly joins hand with him. To the worse the two characters who should have created torment are left to be mocked.

Though we love the blossoming romance between Shahid and Sonakshi particularly during the course when Shahid follows her blatantly despite she neglects his innocence. It pinches you to chuckle if not fully flex your facial muscle.

The director also tries to submerge the amusing romance with a strong dose of action which Shahid manages to converge and control. His height isn't a concern to pair up with slightly taller Sonaskhi who is weightier than him. He is short in height but is also short-tempered enough to bring any baddies down to his knees. But all that takes you nowhere.

We loved Shahid Kapoor's act in Phata Poster Nikla hero, though the flick failed. Here too he gives a descent performance. He shows energy and hits hard but all goes waste.

Sonakshi Sinha who loves to be featured in such flicks once again plays her part well. Sonu Sood who is expert in portraying a baddie in action flicks isn't that fierce this time.

Music by Pritam is good while the background score by Sandeep Chowta is too noisy.
I'll go with one and a half star for R..Rajkumar.
