The battle between Munni and Sheila is hotting up. Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif have been offered Rs 2.5 crore each for the New Year Eve dance featuring Munni and Sheila numbers respectively, says a media report.

While Malaika has snapped up the offer, Katrina is yet to, because she usually spends her New Year with her family.

Malaika's venue is Sahara Hotel, Amby Valley, while Katrina has been asked to perform in Sahara Hotel, Juhu, says the report.

The report quotes a source: "Malaika and Katrina have never seen eye to eye and this year the competition is between individual characters, Munni Bai and Sheila. Each actress is intent on proving that her number is a bigger hit. Even when Katrina was dating Salman, they could barely stand each other and were just about cordial whenever they met. Now with New Year Eve coming up, both have been offered huge money to perform at different branches of the same hotel chain."

But a source close to Katrina clarifies: "Katrina has not yet decided whether she is going to perform this year though she has been offered potloads of money from various hotels for her chart-topping number Sheila Ki Jawaani. For Katrina, her family has always come first and she always loves to spend Christmas with them. This year, too, she is planning to spend Christmas with them in London, as it's the only time of the year when the entire family come together.

"Tees Maar Khan releases during Christmas time and Katrina might get stuck in some post-release events too. So, as of now her New Year Eve plans are not finalized."
