The film was originally made way back in 1971 starring Kishore Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, and Ashok Kumar. Somehow the film wasn't released and director Joy Mukherjee too died and the movie never saw the light of the day again.
However, Director Joy Mukherjee's son found out about the movie and had been keen to release his father's last piece of work.
