New Delhi: After setting a monstrous opening day record and earning highest in the opening weekend, Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Happy New Year' has set the box office on fire in weekdays too.

However, a heavy fall in collection of over 55 % was witnessed on Monday but considering it was a busy working day after a long celebratory weekend, the movie did a brilliant job. On its fourth day, Happy New Year garnered Rs 15 cr thereby taking the four days collection to Rs 123.86 cr nett in India, according to leading website Koimoi.

This is the second highest four days total after Aamir Khan's action drama Dhoom 3 which earned Rs 129.32 cr nett amount. Follows third in the chart is Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 (Rs 108 cr) while Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express (Rs 113.04 cr) stands fourth.

This year's earlier blockbusters follow in the list. Salman Khan's Kick earned Rs 98.14 cr within four days of its release. Hrithik Roshan's ‘Bang Bang' minted 94.13 cr and Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns collected Rs 92.7 cr nett within same time period.

Looking at Farah Khan's directorial flick's gross collection, then the movie has earned Rs 178.35 cr from domestic marker and Rs 52.50 cr from overseas. The overall four days gross total now stands at 230.85 cr.

With no major holidays, Happy New Year may witness a fall or do a rock-steady business. Moreover, no major release in this week will help the movie to dominate box office.

Also starring Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and debutant Vivaan Shah in pivotal roles, Happy New Year has strong chances to march into the Rs 200 cr club. And if it does so, this will be Shah Rukh-Deepika's second movie to hit the double ton both as a pair or individual after Chennai Express.
