Fugly movie review: Begins on a good note, but loses its way completely

The youth-centric dramas have always been appealing, as the masses prefer exploring the new sources of widening the friendship. Under its disguise whatever the flick conveys, the audience accepts with positive approach. Dil Chahta Hai, Rang




The remaining impact diminishes by the dull performances of the actors. Debutant Vijender Singh punches with his comic lines but fails in any emotionally driven scene. Kiara Advani, the Mumbai diva, is good in her act but looks like she is more used as an eye candy. Mohit Marwah excels in his serious act.

It's undoubtedly Jimmy Shergill who takes the incomparable lead. The serious yet light-hearted roles suit him and once again he is effortless in that. Music by Honey Singh, Prashant Vadhyar and Raftaar is commendable. Tracks like Dhup Chip, Banjarey sound good to ears.

I'll go with two stars for ‘Fugly', which has too many loopholes and in the end loses it's way completely.
