Looks like it’s the year of women-centric films at the box office. Right after Alia Bhatt-starrer Raazi ruled the box office and broke many records, it’s now Veere Di Wedding, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania has been shining at the biox office. The chick-flick has minted Rs 77.13 crore and is rock steady on the second week of its release despite other releases.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced Veere Di Wedding Box Office Collection on social media. “#VeereDiWedding has a strong Week 2... North India circuits have performed extremely well... [Week 2] Fri 3.37 cr, Sat 4.51 cr, Sun 4.84 cr, Mon 2.03 cr, Tue 1.97 cr, Wed 1.85 cr, Thu 1.60 cr. Total: ₹ 77.13 cr. India biz”.
Veere Di Wedding is a story of four friends who are going through a tough time in their life and things change as they reunite when Kalindi (Kareena) decides to get married.
Veere Di Wedding, also starring Sumeet Vyas in an important role, is directed by Shashanka Ghosh. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi.
The audience, however, showered it with all the love, the proof of which is its stupendous performance at the box-office. Released on June 1, the film clashed at the box-office with Harshvardhan Kapoor-starrer Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
