The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is creating much buzz. The Shree Narayan Singh film has collected Rs 83.45 crore on the sixth day of its opening which, means it may soon enter the coveted 100 crore club. On the film’s success, Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay has shared a special video on social media. In the clip, the Jolly LLB 2 actor is seen sharing his happiness on Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’s warm response by audience and critics alike.

In the 2-minute-42-seconds long video, Akshay Kumar also thanked Hrithik Roshan by saying that the people who have watched Toilet: Ek Prem Katha know why he's doing so and that it would be a surprise for people who hadn’t watched the film.

The film might have also worked its magic at the box office, but more importantly, it was uprooting the menace of open defecation, Akshay said.

The actor further said that 54 per cent of Indians indulged in open defecation 8 months back. But now, the figure has dropped to 34 per cent. “I am hopeful that it can touch 0 per cent soon”, the actor added. Watch the video right here.

Actor Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is doing a decent business at the box office. The movie earned Rs 13.10 cr on its opening day and the sixth day collection of the film is Rs 83.45 cr. The collections are likely to show growth in coming days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the numbers on social networking site Twitter. 

“#ToiletEkPremKatha Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 17.10 cr, Sun 21.25 cr, Mon 12 cr, Tue 20 cr. Total: ₹ 83.45 cr. India biz. FABULOUS... #TEPK”, Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the movie is based on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and creates awareness about open defecation.
