Actress Taapsee Pannu gave us a sneak peek into her look from her upcoming film Mission Mangal. In the film, the Pink actress is playing the role of a government official Kritika Agarwal. Sharing the first look on her Instagram, she wrote, ‘Kritika Agarwal, Navigation and Communication Department, reporting on duty #MissionMangal #FirstDay #FireTheEngines”

Going by her caption, Taapsee Pannu has just started working on this Akshay Kumar starrer. In the picture, which is taken from the backside, Taapsee is wearing a yellow saree and her hair is tied in a neat French braid. A mangalsutra can also be seen around her neck, which suggests that the actress is playing a married woman in the film. She is reading the notes kept in her lap.

From the first look, we can say that we’re going to see Taapsee Pannu in a whole new avatar in Mission Mangal. The actress has donned simple saree for an elegant look. Last, she was seen in Manmarziyaan, Mulk, Judwaa 2 and Pink. Mission Mangal also has Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menon in important roles. Last month, Akshay took to his social media to announce the ensemble cast for Mission Mangal.

Mission Mangal is directed by Jagan Shakti and co-produced by PadMan director R Balki. The film will release in theatres on Independence Day in 2019. It seems like Akshay Kumar has booked the Independence Day dates for years to come.

On a related note, a US-based filmmaker Radha Bhardwaj has filed a lawsuit against the film to halt the production. She claims that the script of Mission Mangal is copied from her script. She accused Atul Kasbekar for sharing the script with Vidya Balan without her consent.
