Sitaram Panchal, Paan Singh Tomar actor passes away due to lung cancer

The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Bandit Queen in 1994, was reportedly suffering from kidney and lung cancer.

Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal, who worked in several films such as Paan Singh Tomar, Peeplj Live and Jolly LLB passed away on Thursday early morning. The actor was reportedly suffering from lung cancer for the past three years.  Sitaram complained of breathlessness after which he was rushed to the hospital. The actor breathed his last at around 7.45 am. His last rites will take place this evening. He was 54.

While speaking to Indian Express, Sitaram Panchal’s relatives said, “Hepassed away this morning. He had breathing difficulties. He was not keeping well for a long time.”

The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Bandit Queen in 1994, was reportedly suffering from kidney and lung cancer. It was also said that he was facing financial crisis.  His wife Uma Panchal spoke to Hindustan Times and informed that her husband was put under bed rest for ten months. 

 

“Ever since the cancer was detected in January 2014, he has taken Ayurvedic treatment. It was only recently that he started a new homeopathic medicine, following which, his condition worsened and we discontinued the medicines,” Uma was quoted as saying to the leading daily.

Sitaram Pancha, who graduated from the National School of Drama, is best known for films such as Bandit Queen, Slumdog Millionnaire, Peepli Live and The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
