New Delhi: Stars Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan can be credited for having a huge contribution in the romance genre of Bollywood. Everytime this pair came on silver screen, they weaved magic and rakes mullahs at the box office.

With 2015 release, ‘Dilwale’ they did the same. The box office numbers, however, were not that rewarding but there was no dearth in the sizzling chemistry of Kajol and SRK. A testimony of how much the couple is still loved is the success of the song ‘Gerua’.

The romantic number starring Kajol and SRK, sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra has crossed 100 million views on YouTube. This news was shared on micro blogging site Twitter by the official handle of Sony Music India.

Much more than the audio, ‘Gerua’ was loved because of the visual treat it gave. The song was shot in exotic locations of Iceland. From a black beach to waterfall, to ice cold locales and a deserted plane; the romantic number was shot in a span of seven days.

Speaking at the release of the song, Shah Rukh Khan himself had said that this song is different from all the songs he and Kajol have worked on.

“Since Kajol and I are coming back together onscreen after years, Rohit felt that we should try and make ‘Gerua’ come out better than all the other songs we have done earlier. We have done many beautiful songs and are really fortunate to have done those. But Rohit was very clear and precise about how he would like to shoot this one. He paid attention to every detail starting from choice of location, costumes and every other technicality, because it was essential to him,”

Shah Rukh had said.

And looks like, all the effort is bearing fruits even after so many months as the ‘Gerua' fever refuses to die.
