Here are the five reasons why no cinephile should miss out on Beyond The Clouds

Based on Majid Majidi’s previously-directed Children of Heaven

In 1997, Majid Majidi helmed Children of Heavens, which was also based against the Mumbai backdrop. It narrates the story of a brother and sister’s adventure over a lost pair of shoes. The film was nominated for Academy Award for the Best Foreign Language Film in 1998. Critical response to the film was highly positive.

Fresh actors Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan to debut with Beyond The Clouds

With Beyond The Clouds, debutante actors Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan are all set to begin their journey in cinema. But if you go by the trailer, the actors don’t look like it’s the first time they’re facing the cameras. The brother-sister chemistry looks effective right from the trailers. Majid Majidi once told in his interview, ‘casting the right people is like a job half-done for him’. We can’t wait to watch the film to see how Ishaan and Malavika lives up to the expectations of the Iranian filmmaker.

Original score and soundtracks written and composed by A.R. Rahman

The impact of A.R. Rahman’s background score and soundtracks on how the story unfurls in a movie is not an unknown phenomenon for Indian cinema fans. Remember Mom? The same movie for which A.R. Rahman bagged the National Film Awards 2018 for the best background score. We remember how the ace musician’s perfectly-paced background score added to the enigma of the story.

Narrates the unique story of brother-sister relationship

The premise of Beyond The Clouds is also fresh when we talk about Bollywood films. Most of the mainstream films in our industry are based on the romantic relationship shared by a male and female. But a narrative based on a brother and sister’s relationship is a new concept for us.

Cinematography by National Award-winning cinematographer Anil Mehta
