The Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon starrer Bareilly Ki Barfi is all set to hit the cinemas on August 18. Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, the film has been receiving a lot of appreciation for its on-point cast and eccentric storyline. Recently, the music launch of the film was held in Mumbai, and the lead cast Rajkummar, Ayushmann and Kriti attended it in style. While they made striking appearances at the event, the celebs also went candid and, talked about their upcoming film Bareilly Ki Barfi. 

Rajkummar

Rajkummar who will be playing the role of Pritam Vidrohi in Bareilly Ki Barfi, said that the kind of variations the character has is very unique. "The moment he started reading Pritam Vidrohi, I was sold that I am doing this film. The kind of variation that Pritam has is very unique," Rajkummar said in a statement. Rajkummar was impressed with Tiwari's narrating style.

Kriti Sanon

"It was one of the best narrations, and personally I prefer reading my scripts, but Nitesh sir is such an amazing actor himself and he knew his characters inside out," the actor added. 

Ayushmann Khurrana

Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, who has directed Kriti Sanon in Bareilly Ki Barfi, says the actress is not all about glamour as has been projected on screen so far. On the contrary, she says Kriti is a very "simple" girl.

In the film,  the actress plays a small town girl named Bitti who plans to elope to live her dream. Asked about transforming the glamorous actress into a girl next door character, Tiwari said in an interview: "She is a very homely and simple girl. If you meet her in real life, you will understand that she is a simple, warm-hearted girl and not the diva that we all have seen so far.

Bareilly Ki Barfi is directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and the film is based on the on Ingredients of Love a French book. The film will be shot mostly in the location of Uttar Pradesh and is slated to release on August 18.
