Alia Bhatt’s Meghna Gulzar-directorial Raazi will be releasing in a month. On Sunday, the actress shared the teaser of the film, in which she was seen making a discreet phone call to the neighbour country. Alia Bhatt was seen decked in a Burkha in the movie, in which she’s playing the role of a Kashmiri spy, Sehmat. On Monday, she shared another picture of her character ‘Sehmat’ with her onscreen father. She captioned the picture, ‘A daughter’.  In the picture, her dad is seen planting a kiss at his daughter’s forehead.

Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar also shared a solo picture of Alia Bhatt as Sehmat from the film Raazi. In the picture, Alia can be seen in a traditional Kashmiri avatar with henna tattooed hands. In the caption, she wrote, "A secret and a mystery.
There is so much more to a woman than what the eye can see."

The trailer of Alia Bhatt’s highly anticipated film Raazi is scheduled to release on April 10, Tuesday. In the 40-second video, the actress revealed the date of trailer release. With just the teaser, the makers of Raazi have got our curiosity up. We can’t wait to watch the film on May 11, when it releases. Raazi is also being said to be Alia Bhatt’s most challenging venture, in which she can be seen in a non-glamorous avatar. Reports were doing rounds that Raazi is a story of a Kashmiri girl who is married to a Pakistani soldier. She is also working as a spy for Indian Intelligence agency.

Talking about the helmer of Raazi, Meghna Gulzar has earlier impressed the audience with Talvar and Filhaal. She will be working with Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal for the first time. Major portions of the film was shot in the picturesque landscape of Kashmir, where the film is based. Raazi is based on Harinder Sikka's novel Calling Sehmat.
