Pad Man featuring actors Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte is all set to hit the cinema halls, this Friday but some Bollywood celebs have already watched the film and they are going gaga over it. The movie deals with the subject of menstrual hygiene and is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who invested low cost sanitary napkins. From Swara Bhaskar to Homi Adajania, celebrities are heaping praises on the actor, calling the film beautiful and inspiring.

Swara Bhaskar, who was recently in headlines because of her open letter to filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for depiction of ‘jauhar’ scene in Padmaavat, praised Pad Man to heights. The lady tweeted, “Such wonderful performances in #padman Loved @akshaykumar sir’s earnest lovable turn, @radhika_apte ‘s fantastic conviction & @sonamakapoor u shine with such an easy breezy warm performance bringing such energy and life to this happy hopeful tale. Congrats all.”

This is known to all that talking about periods is taboo in our country. Thus, to normalise the situation, celebs were seen accepting and giving Pad Man challenge on social media in which they posed with sanitary pads.  From Aamir Khan to Deepika Padukone, almost every celeb has participated in Pad Man challenge.

Along with Akshay, the film also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. The movie was earlier scheduled to release on January 25 but to avoid clash with Padmaavat, Bhansali requested Khiladi Kumar to push the date. Pad Man directed by R. Balki is all set to hit the screens on February 9.
